Homemade Fruit Jelly Cups
If your kids love those little supermarket-style fruit and jelly cups, you’re going to love this homemade version. They taste just as fun and refreshing — but without the artificial colours, flavours, or additives.
These jelly cups are made with just a handful of simple ingredients and come together in minutes. They’re the perfect snack and because you can use any juice and any fruit you like, they’re endlessly customisable.
Homemade Fruit Jelly Cups
Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, nut free
Makes 3-4 small cups
Ingredients:
2 cups juice (apple, orange, berry — whatever your kids like)
3 teaspoons gelatin
1–2 teaspoons honey (optional)
Fresh chopped fruit (berries, grapes, mango, kiwi, etc.)
Instructions:
Pour your juice into a medium saucepan.
Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface.
Let it sit for about 1 minute so it can bloom (this helps it dissolve smoothly).
Heat the mixture over low-medium heat, stirring until the gelatin has completely dissolved.
Remove from the heat and add honey if you’d like it a little sweeter.
Pour the mixture into:
3–4 small jars or cups, or
One larger container to slice later.
Add in your chopped fruit and give it a gentle stir.
Place in the fridge for a few hours, or until completely set.
Notes:
These jelly cups will keep for about a week in the fridge.
They’re best stored in airtight containers or individual jars.
