Easy Fruity Gummies

These fruity gummies are endlessly customisable using whatever fruit you have at home. They’re a small step up from the juice gummies, but still really simple to make!

They’re naturally sweetened, made with whole fruit, and packed with protein from the gelatin — a perfect lunchbox treat or after-school snack.

And the best part? You can change up the flavour every time. Mango, berries and even cooked apple all work beautifully.

Easy Fruity Gummies

Gluten free, dairy free, egg free, nut free

Makes 20-24 depending on size of moulds

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fruit of choice
Mango, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, cherries — all work well!

  • ½ cup water

  • Juice of ½ a lemon or lime

  • 1–2 tablespoons honey (to taste)

  • 3 tablespoons gelatin

Note: If using pineapple, kiwi, or papaya, see the special note at the bottom — these fruits have enzymes that prevent gelatin from setting unless heated first.

Instructions:

  • Add your chosen fruit, water, and lemon or lime juice to a blender and process until smooth.

  • Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the top and allow it to bloom for about 1 minute.

  • Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring until the gelatin has fully dissolved.

  • Remove from the heat and stir in honey to taste.

  • Transfer the mixture into silicone moulds or a lined container. Refrigerate until firm.

  • Special Note About Pineapple, Kiwi & Papaya

These fruits contain natural enzymes that prevent gelatin from setting.
    To use them:

    • Heat the blended fruit mixture for 5–7 minutes before adding the gelatin.
This step deactivates the enzymes so your gummies set properly.

  • Notes:

  • Gummies will keep for around 1 week in the fridge in an airtight container.

  • My favourite flavour combos:

    • Mango and lime

    • Raspberry and lemon

    • Mixed berries and lemon

    • Mango and passionfruit
